Types of Eczema !

Eczema is chiefly divided into two groups. Mild eczema is one group in which eczema is actually not noticeable. The other group of eczema is called severe eczema in which regular scratching and rubbing is performed by the sufferer.

Although, the second group, severe eczema, can cause conspicuous irritation and rashes anywhere on the skin, but certain kinds are more frequently associated with particular skin areas. The most common types of eczema are described below.

Asteatotic Eczema:
Shins of aged people are the place where Asteatotic eczema occurs more typically. Sometimes it forms on body trunk and on the hands as well.

Contact Dermatitis:
Contact dermatitis results when the skin is faced with some kind of irritation. The produced rash can be either sweltering or dry. There are two types of contact dermatitis:

    • Irritant Contact Dermatitis
    • Allergic Contact Dermatitis

Irritant Contact Dermatitis:
Detergents, certain soaps, bleaches, and caustic cleaning solutions are some of the substances that physically irritate the skin when come in contact with it.Eczema caused by this comes into irritant contact dermatitis type.

Allergic Contact Dermatitis:
It is similar to the previous type, but results after skin’s encounter with an allergen. Antibiotic creams, some kinds of metal, and poison ivy are the things that can cause allergic reactions in vulnerable individuals.

Seborrhoeic Eczema:
Seborrheoic eczema can be suffered by adults and infants both. So there are also sub-divided into two groups.

Juvenile Seborrhoeic Eczema:
Babies under one year old are commonly affected by juvenile seborrhoeic eczema for unknown reason. Nappy and scalp are the areas from where it starts and spreads quickly. As it is not itchy or sore, it doesn’t cause babies to feel uncomfortable. Regular use of moisturizing creams can help to eliminate this unpleasant looking type of eczema.

Adult Seborrhoeic Eczema:
Some people in their 20s to 40s are affected by this. It is found on the scalp as mild dandruff and can spread to the chest, face, and ears. The skin starts to flake, irritated, and gets red. It may be treated with an anti-fungal cream.
